Create Your Own Job!

Beginner Guitar eBook

Another easy way to create your own job is to teach a skill you already have to someone else.  For example, if you can play the piano or a guitar, find yourself a few students and pass that skill on  to  them for a reasonable price.

Not long ago, I  added guitar chords  to some familiar songs  for a youth group I taught and later printed them out in a small eBook  for my grandchildren so that they, too, could learn to play and sing along from it.  It would be a great book for you to use, if you decide to give teaching basic guitar playing to kids a try.

Below are some of the pages from the 28-page eBook so that you can get an idea of what is covered in it.  There are a number of other illustrations to make the book more interesting, and the $5.00 price should make it inexpensive enough for anyone to own.

Excerpt from instructions for tuning your guitar:

                              2

Tuning Your Guitar:

Place your guitar on your lap. The string closest to you
is the
6th
string.  If you have a piano, tune the 6th string
(the lowest sounding one) until it sounds like the E on
the piano just below Midde C.  Or, if you prefer, tune it
until you like the sound the 6th string makes.  Then:

1.  Hold the 6th string down tightly on the  5th fret. Tighten
or loosen the 5th string until it sounds exactly like the 6th
string when you strum them both together.

2.  Hold the 5th string down tightly on the 5th fret and
tighten or loosen the 4th string until it sounds exactly like
the 5th string.
